
2023 Kawasaki Z900RS retro-modern motorcycle has made its debut in the US. It has been updated via the addition of new colours.
Kawasaki is updating its global motorcycle range for next year. The recent addition to the list of updating is the 2023 Kawasaki Z900RS bike. It has made its debut in a new avatar globally. The company has revealed the new bike for the US market.

New Z900RS Details
The Z900RS falls into a special niche of bikes. The design resembles that of a neo-retro roadster bike perfectly. Internaitonally, the Z900RS is sold mainly because of its unique styling appeal mixed with fast performance. The new motorcycle carries forward the same iconic design but with the addition of new paint shades.

Kawasaki has redone the new Z900RS with two colour options. These include the Metallic Imperial Red and the Metallic Diable Black. Meanwhile, its Cafe Racer variant is now offered with the Metallic Diablo Black colour. This cafe racer colour option now features golden highlights over its teardrop-shaped fuel tank.

The design of it remains the same as before. This means that the retro looks are restored. The round headlight with sculpted fuel tank, tubular handlebar, and short tail section; altogether make it look neo-retro. Additionally, the engineers have smartly induced the USD forks with a contrasting colour to the paint job.
Apart from the colours, the features list is also enticing on the new bike. Some of the main features include a semi-digital console, LED tail lamp and indicators, switchable dual-channel ABS, traction control system, and an assist and slipper clutch.

Engine & Specifications
However, the mechanical specs of the Z900RS are left untouched. Well, we are not complaining about that. The reason being is its powerful engine that has been tuned to perform with a meaty mid-range. It comes equipped with a 948cc, inline-4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This unit is capable of making peak power of 107 hp and 95 Nm of peak torque.

Meanwhile, this power is transferred to the rear tyre via a 6-speed transmission. A slipper-assist clutch is also offered for added safety. This engine has been tuned to provide a tractable city performance.
India Launch, Price & Rivals
The Z900RS used to be one sale in India. However, the BS6 emission norm rule made its phase out. Now, with the updated bike, we hope the India launch is not far away. In the US, the new model now costs Rs 9.5 Lakh (approx). Some of the competition rivals include - Suzuki Katana, & Triumph Street Triple RS.
