Sticking true to its Aapki Jeet, Hamari Jeet philosophy, Ashok Leylands new CNG range of trucks will be equipped driver enhanced safety features, and much more.
Ashok Leyland had declared last year declared that they will shift their focus towards ICVs powered by CNG for the domestic market in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2021-2022. Sticking to this plan, the flagship company of Hinduja group has now launched the E-Comet STAR CNG Range available in two options of 16.1T and 4.250 T GVW, along with three CNG cylinder options - 360/ 480/570 liters.
The E-Comet Star is based on the same E-Comet platform also found in the diesel versions. But the E-Comet STAR CNG is claimed to have the best-in-class TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), and the highest fuel efficiency figures in the ICV segment.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Head-MHCV, Ashok Leyland, said, With the ICV CNG segment witnessing a spurt in demand, we have introduced our first of many CNG trucks ranges the E-Comet STAR, based on our highly successful E-Comet platform. As the transition towards cleaner mobility solutions is progressing forward, the customers needs are also evolving and hence, the CNG range can cater to those needs with safer, fuel-efficient, and best-in-class Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). This new range will further strengthen our portfolio, helping us improve our market share in the fast-growing CNG space and help us in our journey to achieve our vision of being amongst the Top 10 Commercial Vehicle manufacturers globally.

Furthermore, the new range is also supported Ashok Leylands 4 hrs Response and 48 hrs Restoration promise, along with a warranty of 4 years or 4 lacs kms .
