Ashok Leyland Launches 1st 7 cu.mtr ICV Tipper - Ecomet STAR 1415

The ecomet STAR 1415 will now supplement the ecomet STAR 1015 Tipper (5 cubic meter) and 1215 Tipper (6 cubic meter), ICV.

Ashok Leyland has launched the first 7 cubic meter tipper in the Intermediate Commercial Vehicle (ICV) segment. The truck can carry 10%-15% more load per trip. To enhance consumers revenue, the ecomet STAR 1415 also has low maintenance costs, along with longer service intervals. The ecomet STAR range is one of the best in the ICV category with 5 cubic-meter, 6 cubic-meter, and 7 cubic-meter capacity trucks.

The newly launched ecomet STAR 1415 will come with the 14T GVW with Twin Tipping Ram, fully equipped for heavy-duty operations. The 7 cu.meter tipper equips the Ashok Leylands iGen6 technology 150 hp H4 engine that delivers up to 450 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed heavy-duty transmission DD gearbox. Ashok Leyland further reinforces the tipper with a heavy-duty axle, suspension and frame, and a full metal cabin.

Present at the occasion was the head of MHCV, Ashok Leyland, Mr Sanjeev Kumar. He explained the reason behind the introduction of such a bigger ICV is because The ICV tipper segment is seeing a spurt in demand due to focus on infrastructure in the North-East and Hilly states and increased construction activity in rural areas pan India.

The ICVs easy manoeuvrability on narrow roads and easy accessibility for loading and unloading sites make them a preferred choice. The ecomet STAR 1415 is a different product which can carry 7 cubic meter load with fuel-efficient iGen6 H4 engine that increases the productivity, thereby resulting in best-in-class Total cost of ownership.
