Castrol Launches all-new BS-VI Ready MAGNATEC Engine Oils

The Heart of our Beloved cars and bikes is maintained with engine oils for lubrication purposes. In the past years, there was a change in the composition of fuels like petrol and diesel due to the implementation of Bharat Stage - VI emission norms. Vehicles are fitted with Diesel or Gasoline particulate filters (DPF / GPF) and many other exhaust after treatment solutions which are highly sensitive to Sulphated Ash, Phosphorous and Sulphur (SAPS) content post combustion. Castrol Engine Oils are now BS - VI ready packing in the Magnatec Technology.

The all new Castrol Magnatec engine oils now come with a reduced SAPS content so as to offer the best lubrication and protection to the engine under high load conditions. Castrol claims that the unique Dualock technology used by them reduce the engine wear and tear by almost 50 per cent as tested against different wear limits in a laboratory environment. This BS - VI ready range would be available in four universal specifications, i.e. 0W-16, 0W-20, 5W-30 and 5W-40. They claim for these new oils to keep up well with OEM requirements and would soon be claiming for various manufacturer approvals with thinner grade lubricating oils.

This range of BS - VI ready engine oils is backwards compatible with older engines, thus bridging the gap between the two categories. These oils will solve various problems solved by people like low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI) in Naturally Aspirated and Turbocharged Direct Ignition engines, and also meet with all API requirements with ACEA C2/C3 industrial specifications.
