
With tensions rising between India and China, the Indian Army is operating on full throttle to prepare for dealing with any kind of situation that may arise on the LAC. As per the recent reports, the Indian Army has deployed the made in India Eight-Wheel Armoured Vehicle in Ladakh. This vehicle has been developed and manufactured by the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) of India.

The vehicle, which has been deployed as a part of a trial run, can also be used for any encounter against the Chinese Army if the need arises. The eight-wheel armoured vehicle is a personnel carrier for infantry troops which can be used to transport the troops more efficiently. This will enable the army to not only occupy the strategic heights more rapidly but will also be a great companion to tackle the extreme terrains as it is a highly capable and powerful machine. It is also worth noting that these vehicles will also undergo high-altitude winter trails which will help the DRDO asses it on various parameters based on the data collected. Later, these vehicles undergo extensive testing to assess the engine and the functioning systems of the artillery.

The eight-wheeled armoured vehicle was seen at the Leh airfield. Moreover, the Indian army will be greatly benefitted by the availability of such vehicles in its combat vehicles operation if the vehicle manages to pass the tests with flying colours. It is also expected that these vehicles will be deployed at the Pangong Tso Lake, Chumar and Daulat Beg Oldi. This vehicle is one of the many vehicles which have been developed by the DRDO for the Indian Army.
