With the wave of electric mobility, there are multiple organisations kicking into developing electric two-wheelers and four-wheelers. To develop the electric vehicle charging infrastructure in India, multiple organisations have taken the lead and Tata Power is no different. Tata power has recently collaborated with Enviro to set up EV Chargers in Gurugram. Enviro is the facility management wing of the real estate developer, Vatika Group.
Tata Power had collaborated to set up 59 electric vehicle charging points in the properties operated by Enviro. These electric vehicle chargers will be available publicly or depending upon the nature of the place of installation. These chargers would be set up at 18 different locations in the city of Gurugram under the Vatika Group.

As per the authorities at Tata Power, this joint venture would contribute to the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure with the main focus on green mobility. As the adoption of electric powertrain based vehicles has gained pace in Gurugram, there is a need to spread the EV charging network to help people adopt this technology without any doubt. As per their detailed analysis, India would require at least four lakh charging stations spread all over the country to cater to the needs by the year 2026.

With this far sighted approach, Tata Power has set up an example for multiple organisations to work upon developing the EV charging infrastructure through joint ventures. This would help people to adopt electric vehicles as a choice along with IC engines and also contribute to the agenda of green mobility.
Tata Power has already deployed more than 1300 electric vehicle chargers in different cities across the country and has coupled them with a digital platform for the ease of the customers without any hassle.
