Isuzu Motors India is very inactive since the BS6 norms came in. They had announced that the launch of BS6 range of Isuzu trucks will happen late in 2020. Well as we are in the last quarter of 2020, Isuzu has teased the D-Max Super Strong and S-Cab BS6 on the Indian site whereas the launch is slated for October 14th.
Isuzu will start its BS6 range of products with the D-Max Super Strong and S-Cab. Isuzu will later add the MU-X and V-Cross to the range with BS6 compliant range. Having said that, both the D-Max Super Strong and S-Cab will be targeted for the commercial industry. Both these new BS6 offerings will have the same 2.5-litre diesel engine but thanks to BS6, power figures may vary.

Earlier, the 2.5-litre diesel engine of the V-Cross used to produce 78bhp @ 3800 rpm and 176 Nm of torque @ 1800-2400rpm. The V-Cross was also available with a 1.9-litre diesel mated to an automatic transmission but we won't get that engine-gearbox combination in commercial models.
Isuzu India postponed the launch of its BS6 range due to the pandemic and the dealers are selling the unsold BS4 stock. As the Supreme court denied to register any BS4 stock after the BS6 deadline, the BS4 models of Isuzu Motors are dealer-registered and the buyer will become the second owner of the car. Due to this, Isuzu dealers are offering big discounts - up to Rs 1-1.5 lakh along with free warranty and service packages.

The launch of the Isuzu D-Max Super Strong and S-Cab BS6 are slated for October 14 and it will be followed by the V-Cross and MU-X SUV. Isuzu is very much popular in the commercial segment and the V-Cross is a important product for the UV-maker. However, the launch of the MU-X is still uncertain as that struggled to get sales and take on the completion like the Fortuner and Endeavour.
