Just after a few days of announcing an electric Luna, the first-ever image of the production prototype has leaked online. The Kinetic Luna moped has been an iconic product in the industry. Kinetic Luna E-Moped Image - Rival To TVS XL 100?
The leaked image of e-Luna shows that it'll feature a similar design to the old Luna moped. However, Kinetic Green will equip it with the latest features like an LCD display, an LED DRL bar above the headlight, a halogen rectangular headlight, etc. Also, its moped layout will also be similar to the older Luna. Hence, we can safely assume that it'll be a utilitarian EV. Kinetic Green shall aim towards the last mile delivery services and B2B service via it. Also, it'll get a spilt seat setup that will get under-seat storage as well. The flat footboard and the rear luggage mounts will make up for a good luggage ferrying vehicle. Currently, TVS XL 100 is the king of ICE powertrain in this segment.
For now, the specification of the Luna is unknown. However, the image shows that it'll get a basic setup. At the front, it'll get a robust telescopic suspension, spoke wheels, & drum brake. At the rear, a similar setup including the spoke rim and drum brake will follow. Meanwhile, the battery and electric motor shall be fitted around the centre of it to keep it agile. Presently there are no details available about the battery & electric motor capacity. We anticipate that the e-Luna will be a low-speed moped with a decent riding range for potter luggage inside the city.
Verdict
Recently, Kinetic Green posted on social media about the re-introduction of Luna. Now, the upcoming EV photo has leaked. But, we've not seen any test mule of it being tested on the road which indicates that there is still time for its reveal. However, going by the speed of it, the Kinetic Luna e-moped might launch by the end of 2023.
