Pros & Cons of E-Luna
Design resembles the old iconic Luna
Pricing is aggressive and affordable
Luggage spaces all around are useful for merchants
Tubular frame is sturdy and reliable
Long riding range
Swappable battery option is a boon for rural buyers
Chain driven system is easy to maintain and repair
Size is small and looks puny on the road
Performance is not meant for fast riding
Skinny tyres require to be careful while riding
Should I buy the E-Luna?
The Kinetic E-Luna is meant for buyers looking for a practical EV that is sturdy enough to ferry luggage loads and also has a decent riding range. Based on the tubular frame, it offers a practical storage area that can be modified as per the requirements as well. The swappable battery technology is helpful for rural buyers. However, the Luna doesn’t look substantial and might not appeal to premium family buyers. It is a budget-friendly product made for practical use.
- The design of E-Luna resembles the old iconic Luna from the 1970s. It has a tubular metal frame and ample space for two passengers. Also, it has multiple luggage-holding options. The rear seat is detachable and luggage can be mounted by removing it. The footboard is also made to hold higher loads.
- The rider comfort on the E-Luna is good. The sitting position is very relaxed as the handlebar and footpegs are positioned for comfort. The low kerb weight adds up to the manoeuvrability inside the city. Overall quality of the E-Luna is good as per its pricing.
- The chain-driven system allows for easy repairs on the go. It can be fixed easily by the roadside mechanics, thus, allowing longevity and ease of use.

- Kinetic Green has equipped the E-Luna with a relatively small battery of 2kWh. This Li-ion battery generates 1.6 bhp of peak power that looks less on paper. However, with the three riding modes that can be toggled on the go via a button, this power feels reasonable. It has a top speed of 50 kmph and a gradient coefficient of 7 degrees. Hence, the Luna performs well even with load and pillion on the inclines.
- The IDC-certified range of E-Luna is 110 km. The real-world range can be expected in between 70-100 km depending on the use pattern and riding conditions.
- E-Luna also has a swappable battery option that is very helpful to the buyers. One battery on standby can be really helpful for rural customers to use it carefree.
- E-Luna comes equipped with bigger 16-inch spoke wheels. These wheels are supported by a telescopic suspension on the front and dual springs on the rear. All thanks to this setup, the ride quality of Luna is well-cushioned. It absorbs most of the undulations calmly. Also, on the bad rural roads, it remains confident and comfortable without losing control.
- The handling of E-Luna is also very easy. Due to the lightweight chassis, it is very easy to use in tight traffic or even with a load and pillion onboard.
- E-Luna comes with a digital instrument console that also supports Bluetooth connectivity. It has a UBD charger to charge your phones on the go. Also, the swappable battery technology is a boon in itself.
- For the safety of the riders, it gets a combo-braking system. Moreover, to alert the rider if the battery gets heated up during riding, the instrument console has a fire alert light as well.
