Kinetic E-Luna

Kinetic Green launched the E-Luna in early 2024 as an electric iteration of the iconic Luna, which was a household name in its petrol-powered form. Retaining the step-through frame, the E-Luna was introduced with an affordable price tag and practical design to suit both urban commuters and commercial users.

Over time, the brand has expanded the E-Luna lineup, offering multiple variants such as X2, X3, X3 Go, X3 Plus, X3 Pro and X3 Prime. Each of these models features a spacious floorboard, making them highly functional for daily riders and small-scale business applications.

New Kinectic E-Luna: What's Different?

The latest patent filed by Kinetic Green showcases a redesigned version of the E-Luna, featuring a noticeable new component on the floorboard. This element, shaped with a quadrilateral structure incorporating triangular contours, is likely to serve as either a repositioned removable battery or a dedicated storage compartment. If this patent materializes into a production model, it could introduce significant advantages in terms of usability and battery management.

One of the biggest advantages of shifting the removable battery to the floorboard would be the creation of a deeper and concealed storage space under the rider's seat. This design tweak could benefit both commercial users and urban riders looking for additional carrying capacity without compromising comfort.

Performance and Expected Upgrades

While the exact specifications of the newly patented model remain undisclosed, it is expected to retain the core mechanical features of the current E-Luna. The existing model runs on a 2 kWh fixed battery, offering a range of approximately 110 km per charge. However, with removable batteries in place, the total range could be extended to close to 200 km.

Charging times are likely to remain similar, with a full charge requiring around four hours. The E-Luna will expectedly continue to offer a 50 kmph top speed, making it ideal for city commutes. The 16-inch wheels, 170mm ground clearance, telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, and drum brakes on both ends are expected to be retained in the upcoming/new iteration.

Kinetic Green has not officially announced a launch date for the newly patented E-Luna version. However, considering the growing demand for electric mopeds and commercial EVs, the brand may introduce this updated version soon.
