Maruti Suzuki India has recently issued a recall for the Maruti Suzuki Eeco manufactured between 4th November 2019 and 25th February 2020. This recall affects around 40,453 units of the Eeco that have been recalled over a possible missing standard symbol on the headlamps. The owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by their local Maruti Suzuki dealers. Read on find more details.
As per the statement released by the brand, the company will inspect the cars under this recall for missing standard symbol on the headlamps. If any rectification action is required, it would be undertaken free of cost. While the local Maruti Suzuki dealers will be contacting the owners of the affected vehicles, the owners can also visit the 'Imp Customer Info' section on the brand's website and fill in their vehicle chassis number to check if their vehicle needs any attention.

The Maruti Eeco is one of the highest-selling vans in the segment and has been on sale for a long time now. The car is not just reliable and capable but is also not so expensive to maintain in the longer run. Powering the Maruti Eeco is a G-Series 1.2-L engine that churns out 73 hp and 98 Nm of peak torque output. The power from this engine is channelled to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. Alternatively, the brand is also offering a factory-fitted CNG kit on the van.
It is worth noting that Maruti Suzuki India recently updated the Eeco with a number of changes to meet the new safety regulations. These safety regulations came into action in October last year. A BS6 complaint model was soon launched in 2020.
