As per the official sales figures released by Maruti Suzuki India Limited, total sales reported in October stand at 1,82,448 units. The Maruti October sales have been the highest ever in history and have broken all the records which were set before. With this being said, the total domestic sales reported in October stand at 1,66,825 units while the brand sold 6,037 units for other OEMs. The export figures stand at 9,586 units in October 2020. With the record-breaking sales figure, the brand has registered a growth of 18.9 per cent over last October. Cars like the Maruti Swift, Celerio, WagonR, Vitara Brezza, and the Baleno have contributed maximum sales figure in the tally. The brand sold 1,63,656 units in September 2020 with an average of selling 4 new cars every minute. The sales to other OEM accounts for 6,037 units which were sold to Toyota Kirloskar Motors. These units include cars like the Glanza and the newly launched Urban Cruiser.

Currently, the brand is offering a number of cars in its portfolio. It is worth noting that there are no diesel-powered models on sale currently but Maruti is said to be working on a new, BS6 compliant diesel engine and will launch it soon. A segment-wise sales distribution is given below:

The brand also offers a number of cars with factory-fitted CNG. These include cars like Alto 800, S-Presso, Celerio, WagonR, Ertiga, and EECO. CNG powered vehicles bring in significant sales figures for the brand. With this being said, these sales figures indicate that the industry is now moving back to normal and the Corona effect is now slowly fading away.
