
India is undergoing a nationwide lockdown now for more than the past 50 days. The Central Government has announced a phase-wise lockdown in the country to fight against the deadly coronavirus. Due to this prolonged nationwide lockdown, the economy of the country has been badly affected. Currently, India is undergoing Lockdown 3.0 and to bring the derailed economy back on the track, the Indian Government has provided some relaxations. The electric scooter maker recently announced that it has resumed its operations in India with only 25 per cent workforce at its corporate office and manufacturing unit. The company also says that it will take care of proper safety measures at its workplace, manufacturing unit, and at the company's dealerships. The company's authorized dealerships across India have now started to operate once again depending on the situation of the COVID-19 in that region.
Okinawa has issued strict guidelines for its potential buyers and its dealership network that shall be operating with 25 per cent workforce. Moreover, all Okinawa vehicles will be sanitized before getting dispatched from the assembly line at the manufacturing unit to the Dealer partners. Additionally, the scooters will be sanitized once again by the dealership staff post receiving the products. Okinawa will also ensure the safety of the customers and dealers by proper thermal screening of the individuals, by wearing masks, gloves and also by taking other safety precautions.

Okinawa is an Indian electric two-wheeler company headquartered in Gurgram. The brand says that it is taking precautionary measures and following social distancing at its Corporate Office too. The two-wheeler maker has also made Aarogya Setu mobile application compulsory for its employees along with masks and other protective equipment. Also, the company has prepared a special team to transport the employees to the hospital in case of any medical emergency. The company is also disinfecting its re-opened dealerships in orange and green zones and corporate office on a daily basis.
Commenting on the same, Mr. Jeetender Sharma- MD, Okinawa said, "In this unfortunate scenario for the entire nation, Okinawa as a responsible brand is taking all the possible measures to safeguard its workforce, dealer partners, and customers. We along with the Government need to work in sync to sail through these challenging times. As the Government has announced a relaxation on economic activities, we have decided to resume business operations gradually, maintaining all the precautions. Hence, we are ensuring the safety and sanitation of all the touchpoints. We have issued an advisory to our dealer partners and a comprehensive standard operating procedure to our workforce, in order to ensure complete safety."
