A couple of days back, Tata Altroz got the title, "Safest Car of India". Tata Nexon was the safest car in India before the Altroz took over the crown. Looks like Mahindra wasn't satisfied with that and as per the latest crash test result, Mahindra XUV300 is the safest car in India ever tested by Global NCAP. Mahindra XUV300 scored 5 stars in adult safety and 4 stars in child occupant safety.
Mahindra XUV300 de-throned both Tata Nexon and yet to be launched, Tata Altroz, in the latest Global NCAP crash test. Mahindra XUV300 scored 16.42 points out of 17 in adult safety whereas the Altroz scored 16.13 in the same. Talking about the child occupant safety, XUV300 scored highest-ever 37.44 points out of 49 whereas the Altroz scored 3 stars with 29 points out of 49. Child safety of the XUV300 has been rated at best by Global NCAP to any car so far.

Global NCAP finds bodyshell integrity and footwell area 'stable' and offers good protection to the driver's head, hands and legs. The protection offered to the driver and passengers head and neck was good. Not only this, XUV300 is the best performer of the side impact test performed by Global NCAP in India so far.

Talking about the safety features, XUV300 comes with standard safety features like dual airbags, front seatbelt pre-tensioners, seatbelt reminders, ISOFIX anchor points, corner brake control, 4 disc brakes, 4-channel ABS with EBD. Top variants also include 7 airbags, front parking sensors and 3-point seatbelt for the rear middle passenger. Mahindra XUV300 is indeed the most feature-laden car in its segment and the safest car in India too.
The prices for the XUV300 starts from 8.30 lakhs (BS6 petrol) and goes all the way to 12.69 lakhs for the W8(0) Autoshift. XUV300 is the key rival to Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford Ecosport and Hyundai Venue.
