While everyone was busy with the SUVs, sedans slowly ignited the segment to what is now a full-blown fiery zone. Where the options were limited sometime back, it is not the same as before. Now the buyers have a pretty solid 5 contenders looking to sway away customers. And different cars, carry different personalities. Lets look at some of the features this time that the Skoda Slavia offers that the Hyundai Verna 2023 doesnt.
Lets get into the top 5 features.
1. Wireless Android Auto/ Apple CarPlay
Yes, as of now the Skoda Slavia gets wireless Android auto/ Apple CarPlay whereas the Hyundai Verna is still operating with wired connectivity. However, the company confirmed the arrival of Wireless Projection with an OTA Update. But, as we are discussing this segment, it is not yet updated.
2. Fog Lights Missing On The Hyundai Verna 2023

What seems to be a new trend among carmakers is the silent omission of the fog lamp assembly. Earlier the Hyundai Venue, Hyundai Aura, Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, and even the Maruti Grand Vitara/ Toyota Hyryder skipped them too. This is done by placing the headlamps a little lower than the standard position. Many have mixed emotions about this development but then, the Slavia still gets it.

3. Rain Sensing Wipers
Whats better than when it starts pouring, the wipers automatically start wiping the windshield. The Skoda Slavia does exactly that. The sensor placed at the front windscreen engages the wipers when it rains, and also adjusts the speed according to the intensity. The Verna requires you to manually do it for yourself. Such hassle! * wink wink*
4. Rear Sear 60:40 Split Skipped On The Hyundai Verna
The rear seat on the Slavia offers a 60:40 split for better practicality. The Hyundai Vernas rear seat folds too, but as a single unit. The partial folding offers a lot more practicality in day-to-day life, which you may find quite nifty when the occasion arrives. It doesnt sound like a big deal but could prove to be a problem solver someday.

5. 5 Star NCAP Crash Test Rating- Safest Yet, But
The Skoda Slavia went to the NCAP Crash Test and crushed the competition. It scored a full 5 Star rating for the occupant's safety. This makes it the safest sedan with the Volkswagen Virtus sharing the podium. Hyundai Verna 2023 on the other hand, has still not been tested for the ratings. Till it goes for the testing, the Slavia takes this one.
