TVS Motor Company is prepping-up to launch multiple motorcycles in the Indian market. A few days back, we reported that the TVS-BMW Alliance is working on a new motorcycle. The Joint Venture is working on a new mid-capacity motorcycle which could possibly be the naked version of the TVS Apache RR 310. Now, the bike manufacturer has filed a new patent called the TVS RONIN. So, Is the TVS Ronin a naked version of Apache RR 310 or is it the production version of TVS Zeppelin? TVS Officials have recently revealed that TVS Motor Company is working on multiple new products and the first product will hit the showrooms in 2021. The company officials revealed that the upcoming motorcycle will be based on the same platform co-developed by TVS and BMW and will use the same 310cc engine. This clearly hints us that the upcoming motorcycle will be a naked version of the Apache RR 310 and could be possibly called the Apache RTR 310 as all naked Apache's come with an RTR moniker. However, the bikemaker has recently filed a trademark for TVS Ronin.
TVS Ronin has been trademarked by Sundaram Clayton Limited (one of the subsidiaries of TVS). Frankly speaking, the body type of the upcoming TVS Ronin is a big mystery as of now. It has been in news flash since a long time that TVS is working on a cruiser motorcycle and an adventure tourer too. Moreover, TVS has showcased its unique cruiser motorcycle TVS Zeppelin at the 2018 Auto Expo and thus there are strong speculations that the TVS Ronin could be the production version of TVS Zeppelin. If we look at TVS' history, every concept model takes production avatar after two years and the same could be the case with TVS Zeppelin too.

TVS Zeppelin made its premiere at the 2018 Auto Expo and it fascinated everybody. TVS called it a Pro-Cruiser and it is loaded with a lot of goodies. The cruiser motorcycle features all-LED illumination system, petaled spoke wheels, adjustable brake and clutch levers, keyless ignition system with Bio-key start which can help the rider to start his motorcycle by using his fingerprint impression and a unique front-mounted HD camera to capture the beautiful scenic views on the go.
TVS Zeppelin also gets a unique powerplant as it is equipped with mild-hybrid tech. It is powered by a 220cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine (with E-Boost) that churns out 20 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 18.5 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The E-Boost Tech is an integrated starter generator system with a 1200W electric generator and a 48V lithium-ion battery that works as a mild hybrid tech for the bike. It also gets USD forks at the front, a mono-shock at the rear and dual-channel ABS for added safety.

The upcoming motorcycle from the Indian bike manufacturer TVS can be any of these: an adventure tourer, a cruiser or a naked streetfighter. However, we highly assume that the TVS Ronin will be the name of the production-spec model of TVS Zeppelin as it is a highly-anticipated Cruiser and Ronin sounds very similar to Zeppelin. Moreover, Ronin means 'wanderer' in Japanese and this suits the character of the Zeppelin concept. If launched as TVS Ronin, the Zeppelin will be priced around Rs. 1.30 lakhs, Ex-showroom.
