Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid Launched - Cheaper Than Honda Activa 125

Just last month, Yamaha showcased the Fascino 125 Hybrid to the Indian market and they now have launched the product. At a price of Rs 70,000, ex-showroom, Delhi, Yamaha Fascino 125 is one of the most affordable 125cc gearless scooters after Hero Destini 125. Yamaha Fascino 125cc Hybrid is available in two variants - Drum Brake (Priced at Rs 70,000*) and Disc Brake (Priced at Rs 76,530*). Comparatively, the Honda Activa 125 retails in a price range of Rs 72,637 to 79,760.

The Fascino 125 is powered by a 125cc air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This unit produces 8 bhp of power at 6,500 RPM with a peak torque of 10.3 Nm at 5000 RPM. It is a gearless scooter that is paired to a continuous variable transmission.

One of the highlighted features of the Yamaha Fascino 125 is the SMG System and Side-stand engine cut off function. The SMG is basically the smart motor generator that acts as an electric motor to give a power assist when accelerating.

Similarly, the side stand engine cut off function won't allow the rider to turn on the ignition as long as the side stand is out. This feature comes as a standard fitment in both variants.

If you pick the higher variant that comes with a front disc brake then it also offers LED treatment on the headlight with daytime running lights and taillight. It also gets a digital instrument cluster and Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X app. The colour options on this version stick to Cool Blue Metallic, Suave Copper, Yellow Cocktail, Cyan Blue, Matte Black Special, Dark Matte Blue, Vivid Red Special, Vivid Red and Matte Black.

The drum variant continues with Cool Blue Metallic, Vivid Red, Yellow Cocktail, Suave Copper, Dark Matte Blue, Metallic Black and Cyan Blue as colour options.
