Who doesn't love discount offers? It is a ritual for every carmaker to bring in discount offers every month to lure the customers and thus increase the sales. For April 2021, we have compiled a list of the hatchbacks available with the highest discount. Let's have a look!
Maruti Swift
The Swift was the best selling hatchback from Maruti's staple last year and for this year, it has been upgraded to a newer level. It now gets an updated exterior look, a feature-rich cabin and the most of all, more power under the hood. The 1.2L naturally aspirated unit now gets two injectors and the power figures stick to 90 PS with 113 Nm of peak torque.

Coming to the discount then Maruti is offering a Rs 50,000 discount on the Swift. However, this offer is limited to the base-spec LXI and is seen as Rs 30,000 as cash and another Rs 20,000 as exchange. The other variants like VXI, ZXI and ZXI+ gets Rs 30,000 offer only.
Maruti Swift has gained a lot of things like cruise control, Smartplay Infotainment 2.0, Dual-tone colour treatment, auto foldable and retractable ORVMs and among other such features. What is lacking is safety as the body shell of the Swift is not that strong when compared with its competition.
Volkswagen Polo GT TSI
Been in the market for over a decade now, Polo has always been a driver enthusiast car. For April 2021, the top-spec GT TSI variant of the Polo is available with a discount of Rs 45,000 which is seen as Rs 20,000 as a cash offer, Rs 20,000 as an exchange bonus and another Rs 5,000 as a corporate offer.
The top-spec model is equipped with features like a touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, hill hold control, traction control, electronic stability program, automatic climate control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel and among others.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios Turbo
This Tata Tiago rival is available with the second-highest discount of Rs 45,000. However, this discount is available on the turbo petrol variant only and is seen as Rs 30,000 cash, Rs 10,000 exchange and another Rs 5,000 as corporate.

Under this hood, it gets a 1,0-litre, three-cylinder BS6 compliant turbocharged petrol engine. This unit is a detuned version of the Hyundai Venue. It now generates 100 PS of power with a peak torque of 172 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only. The prices of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios turbo sticks to Rs 7.82 lakh and th Dual-tone version is priced at Rs 7.87 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It comes with a single variant, Sportz only.
Renault Kwid
The entry-level hatchback from Renault targets the buyers of Maruti S-Presso, Datsun Redi-GO and Maruti Alto 800. The French carmaker is offering a discount worth Rs 40,000. This is further segregated as Rs 10,000 as cash, Rs 20,000 as exchange and another Rs 10,000 as a corporate offer.
Renault Kwid is widely popular in the rural and semi-urban areas because of its affordable pricing, space and practicality. The prices of the Renault Kwis starts from Rs 3.18 lakh and the top model fetches till Rs 5.39 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It comes with two engine options - a 0.8L and a 1.0L petrol motor.
Maruti Ignis
The urban hatchback styling made it popular with high ground clearance and funky exteriors. This particular model from Maruti's line-up is available with a discount of Rs 40,000. However, this highest discount is reserved for the base variant, Sigma only. It gets Rs 25,000 as cash and another Rs 15,000 as an exchange bonus.
Maruti sells a decent number of units of the Ignis and it only gets a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine under the hood. This unit delivers 82 bhp with 113 Nm of peak torque. This unit is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional AMT gearbox.
