On the Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, the hybrid system is a mild-hybrid assist setup, not an electric-only drive mode. Yamaha uses a Smart Motor Generator and battery to give brief power assist during initial acceleration, uphill starts or when carrying extra load, which helps the scooter feel quick

Fi-Hybrid means the Fascino uses fuel injection and a mild-hybrid assist system. In setup of Yamaha, the Smart Motor Generator gives brief battery-assisted support during acceleration and also helps with quieter starts, but it is still a petrol scooter and cannot run as a full electric scooter on it
