Pros & Cons of Royal Enfield Bullet 350 2019-2023
Royal Enfield Bullet 350 2019-2023 Detailed Review
People adore the old Royal Enfield Bullet 350 motorcycle for its straightforward design approach. The Bullet 350 is a retro-styled cruiser, and over the years, it has not seen significant design changes. It has just changed through time while maintaining its original, vintage appearance. The Bullet 350 has a chrome-inlaid circular halogen headlamp, however, neither LEDs nor LED daytime running lights are available. The motorcycle has circular rear-view mirrors with chrome accents and turn indicators with orange-colored glass in a round shape.
When viewed from the side, the Bullet 350 features a straightforward design with no ornate details. Except for the Royal Enfield badging on the fuel tank and the Bullet 350 badging lower down below, the motorcycle's body panels are devoid of graphics. The Bullet 350 still features spoke wheels, and the engine and exhaust pipe are heavily accented in chrome, adding to the motorcycle's classic appearance. A single-piece seat and a halogen taillight are included.
Summary
People adore the classic aesthetic of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350's old-fashioned design. It receives several chrome touches, which emphasize its overall beauty.
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has a great road presence, thanks to its classic thump which lets the passers-by know from a distance that a Bullet is coming. The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 measures 2170 mm in length, it has a width of 810 mm, and this retro motorcycle has a height of 1120 mm. The Bullet 350 has a wheelbase of 1395 mm and so you won’t face many difficulties in taking U-turns even in places with tight spot parking. It offers a ground clearance of just 135 mm and while on paper, it seems a bit less, but in the real world, you won’t have any issues with it. At 191 Kg, the Bullet 350 tips the scales on the heavier side of things. Also, if you are a short rider, you won’t feel comfortable on it as it has a seat height of 800 mm.
Summary
Due to its balanced proportions, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has a superb street presence. Along with its high seat height of 800 mm, the Bullet 350 is a somewhat heavy motorbike, both of which should be noted.
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has always been known for its bullet-proof engine that offers great mid-range performance. The Bullet 350 is powered by a BS6 compliant 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine and it gets fuel-injection technology too. This motor churns out 20.07 PS of maximum power at 5250 RPM and 28 Nm of peak torque at 4000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the Bullet 350 offers great low-end and mid-range punch. It doesn’t have a top-end at all, but its mid-range performance will surely excite you.
Royal Enfield claims that this new BS6 powerplant has been tuned to deliver better refinement and performance along with the ability to consistently start in the cold and one can feel that while riding it at high altitude areas. The new BS6 compliant Royal Enfield Bullet 350 also delivers great mileage. It delivers around 30-35 kmpl of mileage at city speeds in real-world riding conditions while on highways, it can deliver up to 40 kmpl if ridden at constant speeds.
Summary
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 BS6 is much more refined than the BS4 version and this motorcycle offers great mid-range performance along with good fuel economy. Overall the engine has been a step in terms of every aspect compared to the old unrefined motors from Royal Enfield
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 BS6 gets spoke wheels and it rides on a 19-inch front tyre that measures 90/90-19 and an 18-inch rear tyre, measuring 110/90-18. However, the tyres are not tubeless. This retro motorcycle is based on a single downtube frame. The suspension duties on the Bullet 350 are handled by telescopic forks at the front while at the rear, it gets twin gas-charged shock absorbers with a 5-step adjustable preload function.
The Bullet 350 offers a good ride quality and it is an ideal motorcycle to ride even on broken patches of road. For braking duties, the motorcycle gets a 280 mm disc brake at the front and a 153 mm drum unit at the rear. The Bullet 350 also gets a single-channel ABS as an additional safety aid which is a nice addition. In terms of features, it doesn’t offer any goodies. But, there is an analogue instrument cluster that shows the trip-related information to the rider.
Summary
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has decent hardware bits and it is not feature-rich too. The motorcycle gets tube-type tyres. However, it gets a disc brake at the front along with a single-channel ABS as an additional safety net for the riders.
