The design of the Yamaha FZ FI V3 has been neatly updated as compared to the old generation of the FZ naked sports bike. The new Yamaha FZ FI V3 is largely based on the old-gen FZ in India. Although, the addition of new features & new technology has made the overall looks and design of the new Yamaha FZ FI V3 look more mature. The design outlook of the FZ FI V3 now mimics its bigger siblings like the MT-03. With the addition of an LED headlight, LED taillight, new alloy wheel design, and new fuel tank extensions; the Yamaha FZ FI V3 looks more attractive than ever. Yamaha has also redone the riding posture of the V3 FZ to make it easier to ride in the city. It is available in two various colour options – Racing Blue & Metallic Black. However, the design remains still appealing due to its wide fuel tank extensions and upright riding position. 

Yamaha is globally known for making one of the most refined, powerful, and reliable engines. The Yamaha FZ FI V3 is no different when compared to its other sibling lineup. It comes equipped with a 149cc, air-cooled, FI engine. This engine is capable of producing a peak power of 12 hp & 13.3 Nm of peak torque. A standard 5-speed gearbox with constant mesh delivers the power to the rear wheel. The performance of this engine is brilliant as it enjoys a free-revving nature. The weak low-end performance is countered by the brilliant mid-range performance. Also, the ARAI-claimed mileage of this engine is 49.31 kmpl which is good for segment standards. Its engine has been known for reliability and good mid-range as well as top-end performance. The Yamaha FZ FI V3 comes equipped with a 100/80 – 17 front tyre and a 14/60 – 17 rear tyre setup. The fat rear tyre helps achieve a perfect ride & handling balance for the Yamaha FZ FI V3. Yamaha makes one of the finest handling bikes worldwide and the FZ V3 carries similar traits from the brand. The overall setup of tyres and handling is so good that the rider can fearlessly take the high-speed corners with confidence. To support this brilliant setup are the amazing brakes of the Yamaha FZ FI V3. It comes with a 282 mm single-disc brake at the front and a 220 mm single-disc brake at the rear. The single-channel ABS is standard for the Yamaha FZ FI V3 which helps it stop short distances even at higher speeds. The tyres combination on the FZ FI V3 helps it retain amazing handling characteristics when compared with its rivals. The brakes on the other hand also have been revamped to provide a better bite. 

The overall dimensions and size of the Yamaha FZ FI V3 are bigger than the competition rivals in a few terms. The large body panels help make it look bigger than its actual size. At 1990 mm, it is a fairly long bike. Also, the height is 1080 mm and the width stands at 780 mm; making the Yamaha FZ FI V3 one of the biggest bikes in the segment. The short wheelbase of 1330 mm helps in sharp handling while the 135 kg of unladen weight makes the engine more performing as well as fuel-efficient. The rider seat height is 795 mm which is a bit too high for short riders. The 165 mm ground clearance helps make it cross any obstacle easily. Also, the 13-liters of fuel tank means a longer riding range. Hence, the dimensions of the Yamaha FZ FI V3 are well designed and proportionate at every angle.
