The MG Windsor starts at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) with a battery rental cost of Rs 3.99 per km. The complete vehicle price, including the battery, starts at Rs 14.69 lakh. MG Windsor EV BaaS Vs Complete Pricing

The MG Windsor EV is available with two purchase options: the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan and a complete vehicle purchase option with the battery included. The variant-wise pricing with and without BaaS, along with the price difference, is detailed below.

Under the BaaS program, customers can buy the EV at a lower upfront cost, which only includes the price of the vehicle. For the battery, customers can choose to pay based on their usage, with the minimum battery rental starting at Rs 3.99 per km. This pay-per-use model offers a flexible payment option, allowing customers to split their monthly payments into two EMIs and reduce the burden of a single large EMI. Additionally, customers can save approximately Rs 5 lakh on the upfront cost across several variants.

Benefits of BaaS

The Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model is best suited for customers with high monthly running, as it allows them to pay a lower upfront cost by purchasing only the vehicle while paying for the battery based on their usage. This pay-per-use model offers greater flexibility and makes EV ownership more affordable. The lower initial purchase price also makes EVs more accessible to customers who are new to electric mobility and are transitioning from an internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle. Since the battery remains under the service provider's ownership, concerns related to battery degradation and long-term replacement costs are also taken care of by the provider.

Additionally, the BaaS model enables customers to opt for higher variants without significantly increasing the initial cost. Another major advantage is the reduced EMI burden, as the battery subscription is separate from the vehicle loan, allowing customers to manage two smaller payments instead of a single large EMI.

MG Windsor EV Specifications & Features

MG initially launched the Windsor EV with a smaller 38 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 332 km on a single charge. Later, in 2025, the brand introduced a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 449 km on a single charge. The larger battery pack version also brought several additional features, including Level 2 ADAS, an electric tailgate, larger tyres, and more.

On the feature front, the MG Windsor EV comes with some of the most comfortable quilted seats in its segment. The rear seats can recline up to 135 degrees, offering excellent comfort for passengers. Additionally, it features multiple storage spaces, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 9-speaker Infinity audio system, Level 2 ADAS, a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, and a 360-degree camera, among several other convenience and safety features.
