Although the powertrain and production details were revealed by the Korean carmaker earlier this year, the recent release of images for the U.S.-specific model has sparked considerable discussion.
Kona Electric Price : The Hyundai Kona Electric is available in two variants, with the base model priced at Rs. 23.84 Lakh and the top model at Rs. 24.03 Lakh (ex-sh Delhi).
Battery : The Kona Electric is powered by a 39.2 kWh electric motor that produces 134 bhp and a massive 395 Nm of torque. It offers various driving modes, including Eco, Comfort, and Sport.
Range : The Hyundai Kona Electric boasts an impressive driving range of 452 km on a single charge, thanks to its high-voltage 39.2 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery.
Dimension : It has an overall length of 4,180 mm, a width of 1,800 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. The overall height is mentioned as 1,570 mm*, but please verify this measurement as it seems to have an asterisk (*).
Features : Inside, the Kona Electric offers a clean, uncluttered layout with an all-black theme and silver accents on the center console. It includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with various connectivity features, an electric sunroof, front heated and ventilated seats, and wireless phone charging. However, the rear seats might be a bit cramped for three passengers.

Should I buy the Kona Electric 2020 - 2024?
The Hyundai Kona is a family SUV with an EV motor inside it. The spacious cabin, decent feature list, and great comfort help to maintain utmost comfort inside the cabin. The cabin quality is good with soft-touch materials inside and overall it’s a good product for consideration.
- The front face gets a futuristic design which gives a bold look to the car. The LED DRLs and projector headlights have a split treatment. This adds elegance to its appeal. The minimalist use of chrome on the grill gives a sophisticated presence to the Kona.
- From the side, the ground clearance can be an issue with 160mm (unladen). The length is more than 4m which surprisingly doesn’t enhance the space inside the cabin. The design of the alloy wheels is sharp and aerodynamically designed.
- Coming at the rear, the simplicity is carried forward with the simple design of the taillamps. The all-LED taillamps justify the statement of premiumness while split function is continued at the rear.

- The interior of the Kona Electric is neatly laid out. The touchscreen infotainment is slick to use and feels responsive. The use of a black and chrome finish provides a premium appeal inside the cabin.
- The seats provide good comfort and practicality of cabin is well-equipped with plenty of cubby holds. The gear selector buttons are slick to operate and use shift-on-wire technology.
- The touch and feel of materials are on the premium side. Some extra features at this price point like ventilated seats, memory function, and electronically adjustable driver seat are good features on offer.
- The Hyundai Kona Electric is equipped with a 71.7 kWh battery. It has a PMSM motor that churns out 136 BHP of power and 395 Nm of peak torque.
- This battery provides a claimed range of 450 Km (WLTP) and in real life, it will return about 350 km easily.
It goes to a maximum speed of 130-140 km/h and has regenerative braking on offer. - The charging time using a DC fast charger goes up to 80% in 50 minutes. Using an AC charger will take around 6-8 hours for a complete recharge.
- The Hyundai Kona Electric is available in a 5-seater version only.
- The rear seats offer a premium experience. Well, cushioned seats are present. However, knee room, shoulder room, and legroom are not good for 3 passengers in the rear.
- There is ample space to store your water bottles inside. Each door can accommodate a 1L bottle. There are cupholders for different cups and water bottles.
