Tata recently updated the Tiago to make it BS6 compliant and with the
update, the car now looks very much inspired by the Altroz. The Tiago is
currently the most affordable car from the manufacturer and it offers the
highest 4-star safety rating from Global NCAP. The Tiago was launched with both the petrol and diesel engine options but recently Tata discontinued the diesel version and upgraded the petrol version to meet the new BS6 emission norms. The 1.2-litre engine option of the Tiago produces a maximum power of 86 Bhp and peak torque of 113 Nm. It gets a 5-speed manual transmission as well as an AMT automatic transmission. Though not very refined, it offers good performance. This hatchback scores high marks when it comes to ride and handling, and it does feel bigger than what it is. The car also offers a long feature list including new daytime running lamps, ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment with navigation system and Android Auto plus Apple Car Play support. The Tiago is available in eight variants and the prices
start at Rs 4.6 lakhs and goes up to Rs 6.6 lakhs and there are as many as six colour options in the market. The hatchback takes on the likes of Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Celerio in the Indian market and is one of the best-selling vehicles from the manufacturer.
