Volkswagen Vento 2020-2022 Mileage Tips

Air pressure vs Fuel economy

Keeping your car's tyre pressure at the recommended level improves fuel economy by up to 5%. Underinflated tyres create drag, causing the engine to work harder. Check air pressure every two weeks and before long trips. Slightly higher pressure (by 1-2 PSI) for highway drives can further boost mileage.

Impressive, Affordable, Reliable

This vehicle is truly impressive. It delivers excellent mileage, is extremely comfortable for long drives, and requires low maintenance. The service support is friendly and efficient, making ownership a pleasure. It offers a rock solid performance, spacious and comfortable seating, and ample storage space for travel or daily use. The build quality and durability are top-notch, and the pricing is very affordable for everything it offers.

This car is fun to drive

Volkswagen Vento 1.0L TSI The plan for owning a German sedan was about a year long wait as I was adding money to my budget to own this car. The Vento has a timeless design and the simple things in this makes it a great car. Like the superb build wquality or the 6-speed AT gearbox and the peppy petrol motor. My daily running is less than 20 km so obviously a petrol option was the only choice. Just when I made up my mind of owning a 1.6L Vento, Volkswagen discontinued the car and brought in 1.0L TSI motor. I was disappointed and that what fun it would be. Well, I was wrong as on the test drive with the 6-speed AT, it proved me wrong. It has a 110 bhp peppy motor and provides a healthy torque of 175 Nm. What’s interesting is that I am getting a mileage of 12 km/l which is great in my commute. I wish it was much higher but that’s fine. I have opted for the aftermarket sound system and they are just great. Till now I have covered about 1000 km in this one and have faced no major problem.

Reliable sedan

Volkswagen Vento 1.5L TDI In my two years of ownership report and about 50,000 km of driving this sedan I can proudly say that the driving pleasure is nothing compared to this car. I have covered 600-700 km on a daily basis and honestly, I did not feel tired at any time. I love the ride quality, suspension and the powerful diesel motor. The areas where Volkswagen can improve itself is the service and maintenance as the parts on this one is too high. I am waiting for my warranty to finish so that I can get it serviced from outside by our local mechanic who uses genuine Volkswagen parts. I have achieved the highest mileage of 20 km/l which is great. Else the mileage sticks between 18 km/l – 20 km/l.

Good for long journeys but too high on maintenance

Volkswagen Vento 1.5L TDI Trendline This is my base model of Vento 1.5L TDI and till now I have driven the car till 90,000 km. The only problem I faced was the turbo loss which was a major havoc. The car just did not picked up and it was a major issue in my case. It had to be repaired from official Volkswagen people and it costed me a lot. Next, I have to tell about the gearbox and the problems. Whenever there is quick shifting situation, the gearbox always lags and that remains a problem. The average mileage I am getting is 15 km/l which is good and my most runs are on the highways. This is my review of my Volkswagen Vento.
