Should I buy the Tekton?
The Nissan Tekton is a well-rounded modern SUV that offers a great combination of features, performance, and ride quality. The cabin is packed with a good number of convenience and safety features, along with a touch of premium materials. The turbo-petrol engine options deliver strong performance and are available with manual transmission options to cater to driving enthusiasts. That said, if your priority is a richer, more premium cabin experience, the Kia Seltos has the edge. Those looking for a more fuel-efficient option or an option that can go anywhere with its AWD setup, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is the more suitable choice.
- The new Nissan Tekton boasts a muscular design language with its upright stance and Patrol-inspired front profile. It gets a chunky front grille with red stipe in the centre, LED DRLs with a connected LED light bar, and a muscular bumper that adds to its rugged appeal.
- Along the sides, the Tekton rides on large 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and gets squared wheel arches with heavy body cladding. The high ground clearance of 212 mm and roof rails further enhance its proper SUV character. Lower variants offer 17-inch alloy wheels, with fewer chrome inserts, and with that too it looks bold.
- At the rear, it comes with connected LED tail lamps with a shaped signature, a sculpted tailgate and a rugged bumper with skid plate elements, completing its modern yet tough exterior design.
- The 2026 Tekton is offered in six colours monotone colours, Indigo Blue, Moonbow Gray, Flare Garnet Red, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, and Pearl White. Customers can also choose to purchase a dual-tone colour option with black roof.
Tekton body specifications:
| Wheel Size | R17 & R18 |
| Seating Capacity | 5 seaters |
| Ground Clearance | 212 mm |
| Boot Space | 518 liters |

- The Nissan Tekton is offered with two turbo-petrol engine options. The entry-level 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 100 PS and 166 Nm of torque, and is paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission.
- The more powerful 1.3-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivers 163 PS and 280 Nm of torque. This engine is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT), offering buyers a choice between a more engaging or convenient driving experience.
- The cabin features a dual-tone white and purple interior theme, leatherette seats, and a premium dashboard layout similar to that of the Duster. The dashboard looks premium, with soft-touch materials and contrasting colour accents. The cabin is driver-centric, as the infotainment screen is tilted towards the driver, and the physical controls for the air conditioning are also angled in the same direction.
- On the features front, it gets a 10.1-inch infotainment system with built-in Google Assistant, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a multi-function steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seats, wireless charging with MagSafe, among other features.
- The Tekton offers a massive 700-litre boot space, making it one of the most practical SUVs in its segment for luggage and long trips. Inside the cabin, it gets a large glovebox and multiple storage spaces, including well-sized door pockets that can easily hold bottles and other small items. The centre armrest storage is deep and spacious, providing ample room for everyday essentials.
- On the safety front, it comes with six airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD, three-point seat belts for all five occupants, ISOFIX child seat mounts, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS with adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot warning, and several other ADAS features. The Tekton has also received a 5-star BNCAP crash test rating.
