Pros & Cons

Pros
  • The new design language is inspired by the 1390 Super Duke.
  • The off-road version looks closer to a rally-spec bike.
  • The addition of new long-travel suspension.
  • Addition of electronic rider aids such as cruise control, cornering ABS etc.
  • The design is familiar, but it has aged well.
  • Addition of new features, such as the TFT screen with bluetooth and navigation.
  • The exhaust note continues to sound nice.
  • The windscreen is genuinely useful in protecting from wind blast.
Cons
  • Lack of cruise control, cornering ABS and ride modes on the road-biased 390 Adventure X.
  • The 390 Adventure X also lacks adjustable suspension.
  • Both bikes are still quite heavy.
  • Limited sales and service network.
  • Spares can be expensive.
  • The price tag is on the higher side.

The bike is really good, especially when maneuvering on highways. Its lightweight flickability is a bonus, and the firm suspension helps on gravel or bumpy roads. The only compromises are the mileage and city rides, as it tends to get quite hot in traffic.
