Pros & Cons of 390 Adventure
The new design language is inspired by the 1390 Super Duke.
The off-road version looks closer to a rally-spec bike.
The addition of new long-travel suspension.
Addition of electronic rider aids such as cruise control, cornering ABS etc.
Lack of cruise control, cornering ABS and ride modes on the road-biased 390 Adventure X.
The 390 Adventure X also lacks adjustable suspension.
Should I buy the 390 Adventure?
If your main priority is serious off-road performance with rally-inspired hardware straight from the factory. The 390 Adventure R is ideal for riders who frequently tackle trails, broken terrain, and technical off-road sections and don’t want to spend extra on suspension or wheel upgrades. Choose this over the Standard 390 Adventure if your riding involves regular off-road adventures and challenging terrain. However, if your usage is mostly city commuting and highway touring and you prefer a lower seat height with the convenience of tubeless tyres, the Adventure X or the Standard variant will suit you better. For enthusiasts looking for the most hardcore and trail-focused ADV in the sub-400cc segment, the KTM 390 Adventure R stands out as one of the most capable and purpose-built options currently available in India.
