2025 Renault Kiger

This mini-SUV looks unmistakable Kiger even now. From a distance, its hard to figure out whether its new model, as the shape and core design elements are same. However, upon studying it, the changes are visible. Before diving it details - here is a quick words on its engines and gearboxes.

It continues with the two 3-cylinder petrol powertrains, along with the same gearbox options. The first is a 1.0L naturally aspirated unit producing 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The second is a 1.0L turbo-petrol delivering 98 bhp and 160 Nm of torque, offered with a 5-speed manual or a CVT.
Renault claims a fuel efficiency of 20.38 kmpl for the turbocharged engine and 19.83 kmpl for the naturally aspirated unit, as per ARAI.
Front Look
The front end of the new Kiger appears sharp, wide and extremely busy. It will give you an impression of something of a project car, as there is so much going on here, and it definitely looks sporty and designed keeping youth in mind. The grille has gone slimmer - more of a one strip thing, and in between sits the new Renualt logo which is slightly smaller in size and features dual layering. Well, the LED DRLs are the same as before, and still look striking and futuristic even now.

Major changes have been made to the bumper. The first talking point is the LED headlights, which still feature three ice-cube-shaped elements as before, though the overall design has been slightly revised. Next to them is a large, thick silver skid plate that wasn't present earlier, giving the front end a stronger character. Integrated into this skid plate are additional design elements, and at the lower edges sit LED fog lights. Altogether, this small SUV now has three separate lighting units up front, suggesting that the designers have allocated a significant portion of their budget to the front fascia.

This isn't entirely different from the outgoing model, as it too was just as busy, but Renault has certainly dialed it up to 11 here.
Side Profile

Well this is the area where nothing major has happened, its the only the plastic plate (door decals) on the bottom of doors, has recieved a little design treatment, and so does the C-pillar. Moreover, the Kiger features a new 16 inch diamond cut alloy wheels with front disc brakes and drum at rear.

Rear Profile

This section gets a new bumper featuring a silver skid plate designed to house two reflectors, adding a sporty touch. Above it sits a plastic bumper, and Renault has also refreshed the tail-light design with a slightly smoky finish. That said, the overall shape remains largely similar to the previous model, with the most significant change being the introduction of Renaults new logo.

Interior

The interior now feels brighter and livelier, thanks to the light dual-tone finish on the center console and the addition of white accents on the seats, complemented by several silver trim elements. It also features a new steering wheel with Renault's updated logo and revised stitching patterns. In terms of equipment, the car now offers front ventilated seats, a rear center armrest with cup holders, and 60/40 split-folding rear seats as standard. Additionally, Renault claims improvements to both the AC performance and NVH levels.

It continues to offer an 8-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a 7-inch digital driver's display. Additionally, the Kiger comes with multiple storage compartments, drive modes, a wireless charger, a floppy-disk-style key, automatic headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers.
