2025 Renault Kiger Launched; Details

The Kiger now gets a redesigned front-end, with a completely new split-type treatment on the nose, along with the new Renault logo, and there are new bumpers on both ends. The headlamps continue to be familiar, placed below the DRL strips. From the side, you can make out the newer alloy rims, and the tail-lamps now get a smoked-out effect, but the rest of the car stays familiar and it will still be easy to recognize.

Inside, the interior also sees some minor tweaks here and there, but it will still be recognizable otherwise. The black and light grey treatment is new, as is the redesigned steering wheel. The instrument cluster also appears to have been updated. In terms of features, the new bits include a 360-degree camera, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, ESP, hill-start assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and ventilated front seats.

The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity, along with the wireless charging pad have also been carried over. Additionally, the Kiger now gets six airbags as standard across the entire lineup.

The engine options have also been carried over; the 1.0-litre nat-asp petrol producing 71bhp and 96Nm of torque, paired to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The other option is the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, producing 98bhp and 152-160Nm of torque, depending on whether you choose the CVT or the 5-speed manual transmission.
Verdict
The Kiger, much like the facelifted Triber has not changed by a lot, but the familiarity might be key in the long-term, as Renault would not want to deviate too much from the formula that works for them.
