MG Hector Tomahawk EV & PHEV Launched In India, Range Starts At Rs 19.49 Lakh

JSW-MG Motor India has launched the Hector Tomahawk SUV range in the Indian market at an introductory starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh (BaaS) and Rs 19.49 lakh (complete, ex-showroom). The brand has launched the SUV with EV and PHEV powertrain options, with the PHEV version starting at Rs 21.50 lakh (BaaS). The Hector Tomahawk is the first vehicle based on the recently revealed MG ADAPT platform. Deliveries of the EV version will begin in September, while the PHEV version will be available from November onwards. The newly launched MG Hector Tomahawk boasts a boxy design with a closed-off front grille, a sleek black panel with an illuminated MG logo, dual-LED DRLs with sequential turn signals, LED headlamps, a sculpted front bumper with an integrated lower air intake, and a clean overall front profile.

On the sides, the SUV gets 18-inch precision-cut alloy wheels, blacked-out pillars, roof rails, squared-off wheel arches with black cladding, a floating C-pillar accent, and a clean side profile. At the rear, the SUV features split horizontal LED taillamps, an integrated roof spoiler, and a rugged skid plate on the bumper.
On the interior front, it gets a sophisticated layout featuring a 15.6-inch Grand View infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch digital instrument console, a 10-speaker Infinity audio system, rear-window sunshades, a powered tailgate, powered and ventilated front seats, 256-colour ambient lighting, wireless charging, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. It also gets MG i-Smart 3.0 with more than 80 connected-car features, Gen AI with Karaoke, and dedicated cabin modes, including Nap, Camp, Pro Pet, Energise, Valet, and Quiet. Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) support further extends the vehicle's utility beyond transportation.

Safety and driver-assistance equipment includes a 360-degree camera with chassis and wheel views, Level 2 ADAS with 11 active features, an Electric Parking Brake (EPB), ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), a Traction Control System (TCS), and Hill Hold Assist.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV & PHEV Powertrains
The EV version of the Tomahawk is powered by a 69.2 kWh LFP battery pack and a single electric motor producing 150 kW (201 bhp) of power and 310 Nm of peak torque. The EV offers a claimed range of 517 km on a single charge and can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. For charging, it supports 90 kW DC fast charging, which can replenish the battery from 30% to 80% in 35 minutes, as well as 7.4 kW AC charging.

The PHEV version comes with a 20.5 kWh battery pack and an electric motor paired with a 1.5-litre dedicated hybrid engine, producing a combined system output of 198.4 bhp. It offers a pure-EV range of 115 km and a combined range of 1,100 km with a full tank and a fully charged battery. The PHEV version can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 9 seconds.
