Thunderous Performance

The heart of this ladder-frame SUV is the same as the XUV700, featuring two turbocharged engines. The petrol engine is a 2.0 L unit producing 202 PS and 370 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission and 380 Nm with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
However, the 2.2 L diesel engine is offered with two different settings. The first one produces 174 PS and 370 Nm of torque with a 6-speed manual transmission and 400 Nm with a 6-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the second setting produces 131 PS and 300 Nm of torque with only a manual transmission.
Competitors With Same Feature:
- Mahindra XUV700 and Thar Roxx have the same engines and transmission on offer, as they are branches of the same tree. However, the Tata Safari only comes with a 2.0L diesel engine, which makes 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque, and this too is available with a 6-MT and 6-AT.
Features Missing In Mahindra Scorpio N
- Steering Adjustments - This SUV doesn't offer telescopic adjustment of the steering wheel, even in its top variant. The only thing it supports is tilt adjustment.
- AC Vents - The 3rd row, which isn't the most spacious and offers just enough space, doesn't have dedicated AC vents for passengers. So, in temperatures above 40 C, people will fight to avoid sitting there.
- No second-row Seat adjustability - The second-row seat in the Scorpio N cannot be reclined or slid for added comfort, which is a drawback, as it doesn't allow for more space in the 3rd row. This issue is also found in the XUV700.
