Maruti Suzuki India has finally rolled out the 2026 update to one of its most popular SUVs in India, the Brezza. The base LXi trim is surprisingly well-equipped for an entry-level variant. You get the option to pick the new turbo-petrol engine right from here, which is a genuinely nice touch from Maruti, as most rivals in this segment reserve their punchier engines either for the top trims of mid. VXi one above from the base variant where Brezza finally gets its touchscreen, a 7-inch unit with wireless Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Maruti's voice assistant. Starting from this variant the Brezza unlocked its automatic gearbox option that is paired only with the 1.5-litre petrol engine, so turbo buyers still need to stick with the manual. Zxi is the point from where the Brezza starts feeling properly loaded. This trim brings in the safety features most buyers actually search for in a vehicle these days, such as blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, and a proper TPMS system, alongside everyday conveniences like an electric sunroof and push-button start. Further dual-tone paint finally arrives at this trim, with Pearl Arctic White, Sizzling Red and Lustrous Beige all available with a contrasting bluish black roof. The range-topping ZXi+ only comes with either 1.5-litre AT or its 1.0-litre turbo MT dropping the manual option on the naturally aspirated engine and the CNG variant entirely. But in term of features, you get a bigger 10.1-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and Next Gen Suzuki Connect with app-based vehicle tracking. The 64-colour ambient lighting and leather-wrapped steering wheel round off a cabin that finally feels like it belongs to a premium subcompact SUV rather than just a well-equipped budget one. Value for Money Variant
If you're not chasing every last feature, the ZXi turbo makes the strongest case. It sits comfortably below the ZXi+ but still brings the safety kit that actually matters day to day, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, and a sunroof, along with the punchier turbo engine. Unless connected car features and ventilated seats are non-negotiable for you, the jump to ZXi+ starts to feel like paying for extras you may not use every day.
Why Not the Other Variants?
- LXi: Covers the safety basics well, but the lack of any touchscreen will bother most first-time SUV buyers.
- VXi: A reasonable step up, though the safety features on the ZXi are worth the extra spend for most.
- ZXi+: Best suited to buyers who want the full feature set, but the CNG option disappears entirely at this trim.
