1. 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating

The Kylaq is the Skoda to have been tested at the Bharat NCAP, where it scored a full five stars. This shouldn't come as a surprise, considering it shares its MQB-A0-IN platform with the Kushaq and Slavia, which also performed similarly in the Global NCAP crash tests.
The Kylaq scored a total of 30.88 out of 32.00 points in the adult occupancy safety tests, and a total of 45.00 out of 49.00 points in child occupancy safety tests, thus granting it a five-star safety rating. Protection offered to the driver and front passenger was mostly rated good, with the exception of a few 'adequately' protected areas.
Variants Available: The 5-star safety rating is applicable on all variants of the Kylaq, with the base Classic variant beginning from Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom.)
Competitor Check: Rivals such as the Mahindra XUV 3XO and the Tata Nexon have fared similarly in terms of safety, and are available from a similar price point.
2. 8-inch Digital Cockpit

The Kylaq comes with an 8-inch digital cockpit which is identical to the one we have seen on the Slavia. The cluster offers a view of the speedometer in the middle, along with tachometer, fuel gauge, trip meters, and plenty of other tell-tale signs. However, there are some features that the Kylaq misses out on, which are otherwise available with its rivals.
Variants Available: The 8-inch Digital Cockpit comes as a standard fitment from the Signature+ variant onwards, which is priced at Rs 11.25 lakh (ex-showroom.)
Competitor Check: The Tata Nexon offers full maps navigation and tyre pressure monitoring for all four wheels on the display cluster, while the Kia Sonet offers tyre pressure monitoring only.
3. 10-inch Touch Screen With Wireless Android Auto And Apple CarPlay

The Kylaq comes equipped with a 10-inch touch screen infotainment system, which can be connected to your smartphone wirelessly, and additionally you can also use a wire, albeit with a USB-C type port. The screen supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and additionally you also get a rear view camera.
Variants Available: The 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system is available from the Signature+ variant onwards, which is priced at Rs 11.25 lakh (ex-showroom.)
Competitor Check: The Tata Nexon and the Kia Sonet come with a 10.25-inch touch screen in their higher variants, but the Sonet does not get wireless connectivity. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx offers a 9-inch touchscreen system.
4. Ventilated And Powered Front Seats

The Skoda Kylaq is one of the few cars in its segment to offer ventilated front seats with six-way power-adjustability. The ventilation function helps keeping you cool, and this is especially a big relief in summers, and for people who tend to have sweaty backs. The power-adjustability further gives the impression of a car from a higher segment.
Variants Available: The Kylaq offers ventilated front seats with six-way power-adjustability on the top variant, the Prestige variant, which begins from Rs 12.89 lakh (ex-showroom.)
Competitor Check: The Kia Sonet offers ventilation on the front seats from the HTX variant onwards, while the Tata Nexon offers the same from the Accomplished S variant onwards.
5. MySkoda Connect

The Kylaq comes with MySkoda Connect, which is essentially Skoda's connected features suite. It gives buyers access to certain features such as geo-fencing, vehicle location tracker, online document storage, and more other things.
Variants Available: The MySkoda Connect suite is available from the Signature+ variant onwards, which can be had from Rs 11.25 lakh onwards (ex-showroom).
Competitor Check: The Kia Sonet comes with the Kia Connect Suite, which is available from the GTX+ variant, priced at Rs 14.83 lakh (ex-showroom).
6. Single-Pane Electric Sunroof

The Kylaq, like the Kushaq and the Slavia, are equipped with a single-pane electric sunroof, which makes the cabin feel airy and lends it a more ambient, premium feeling. However, when compared to some of its rivals which get a panoramic sunroof, the single-pane sunroof may seem like a way to keep costs down.
Variant Available: The sunroof on the Kylaq is reserved for the top-end Prestige variant, which begins from Rs 12.89 lakh (ex-showroom).
Competitor Check: Rivals like the Mahindra XUV 3XO and the Tata Nexon offer a dual-pane panoramic sunroof on their higher variants, while the Sonet offers a single-pane unit from the HTK (O) + variant.

Features Missing On The Skoda Kylaq
360-degree camera: The Kylaq does not come with a 360-degree camera, which is a miss at this price point, considering how useful a feature it is to have when parking in tight city conditions. Rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Fronx offer one.
Level 1 ADAS Suite: Unlike the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, and the Tata Nexon to name a few, the Skoda Kylaq does not come with any level of driver assistance technology, especially at this price point and with its feature-distribution where a lot is reserved for the top-end.
