Tata Motors launched the Curvv & Curvv EV for the market last year. The Curvv has been launched with a lot of new features for the mid-size SUV market. The Curvv ICE currently starts at Rs 9.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.52 lakh (ex-showroom). In this article, we'll look at the key features of the Tata Curvv ICE, and we'll compare it with rivals like Hyundai Creta, KIA Seltos, and others. Connected LED DRL & Tail Lamp With Light Animation

Tata Motors has started giving connected LED DRLs in its SUV lineup, and the Curvv is nothing different. The Curvv ICE variant comes with a connected LED DRL at the front and a connected LED light bar at the rear. The DRL and rear light bar play welcome and goodbye animations while locking and unlocking the car. Moreover, the Curvv offers all LED lighting for better illumination.

Variants Available: The connected LED lighting with sequential turn signals and lock/unlock animation features are available from the Creative+ S variant onwards. The Creative+S variant is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the LED headlamps are available from the Creative variant.

Competition Check: Rivals like the Hyundai Creta also come with a connected LED DRL and rear light bar. The connected rear lights have become a standard in modern vehicles.

Voice-Assisted Panoramic Sunroof

The craze for sunroofs is at its peak in the Indian market, and brands know how to cater to their customers. Tata Motors has added a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof to the Curvv, which creates an airy cabin ambiance. The Curvv is the third ICE vehicle in the Tata lineup to come with a panoramic sunroof.

Variant Available: The voice-assisted panoramic sunroof is available from the Pure+ S variant onwards, starting at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has made the sunroof available starting from the mid-spec variant.

Competition Check: In the mid-size SUV segment, most of the SUVs are now fitted with panoramic sunroofs.

  • Hyundai Creta comes with a voice-assisted sunroof in a few of the variants. The pricing of the Hyundai Creta starts at Rs 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom)
  • KIA Seltos: Similar to the Hyundai Creta, the KIA Seltos also offers a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof starting from the mid-spec variants.

12.3-inch Touchscreen By Harman

The Curvv boasts a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system by Harman. The touchscreen boasts a user-friendly UI and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, the Curvv ICE will get a 10.25-inch digital instrument console that supports a navigation display. In some variants, the brand will be offering a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment.

Variant Available: The 12.3-inch touchscreen is available from the Accomplished+ variant onwards. The lower variants comes with a 10.25-inch screen.

Competition Check: Rivals like the KIA Seltos & Hyundai Creta come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. Both these screen supports wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Level 2 ADAS

The Curvv ICE is equipped with an array of safety features, including Level 2 ADAS features. The ADAS features help in enhancing the safety of the occupant and other road users. The ADAS features comprise lane keep assist, autonomous braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and other features. The SUV also boasts a 360-degree camera.

Variants Available: Tata has packed the Curvv with a lot of safety features starting from the base variant, but to make the package more appealing, the top spec Accomplished + A variant comes with level-2 ADAS features.

Competition Check: Rivals like KIA Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, and MG Astor have already equipped their cars with ADAS features. However, carmakers like Maruti Suzuki, Skoda, and Volkswagen have yet to introduce ADAS in their mid-size SUVs.

Gesture Controlled Tail Gate

Tata Motors has given a first-in-segment feature in the Curvv, which is the gesture-controlled electric tailgate operation. The top-spec variant of the Curvv will be available with this feature. With the help of the gesture-controlled tailgate, the owner can easily access the huge 500-litre boot of the SUV.

Variants Available: The gesture-controlled powered tailgate is available in the Accomplished+ A variant of the Curvv lineup.

Competition Check: Rivals like KIA Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and other mid-size SUVs still come with an electromagnetic tailgate opening.
