
Maruti brought in the petrol version of the Brezza and the compact SUV is receiving a decent amount of booking numbers. The highlight was the inclusion of a mild hybrid in the automatic trim but recent reports suggest that they will bring this SHVS with the manual gearbox of Maruti Brezza too.
Yes, the mild hybrid system with a manual transmission will increase fuel efficiency and also it will affect the production cost of Maruti Brezza. This system was first introduced in Ciaz and it will come with all four trims that are LXi, VXi and ZXi and ZXi+.

Sharing more details on this engine then it carries a 1.5-litre, K15 B petrol unit which churns out 103 bhp with 138 Nm of peak torque. This same engine is used in Ertiga, XL6 and Ciaz.

The SUV gets an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 17.03 km/l for the manual without SHVS and the automatic average sticks at 18.96 km/l with SHVS. The fuel economy can rise way above 19 km/l once mild hybrid is introduced with the manual transmission of Maruti Brezza petrol. Maruti provides a four-speed torque converter unit as an automatic transmission for Brezza.
The facelifted Brezza comes with minor changes at the front and rear profile. Upfront you notice a new headlight design with integrated LED Daytime Running Lights, new bumper design and wider fog light housing. You also see diamond cut alloy wheels at the side profile.
Like the exteriors, the interior receives minimalistic changes. It gets a new touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features.

Maruti Suzuki Vitara Petrol starts at a price of Rs 7.54 lakh and the top model fetches till Rs 11.40 lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi. The compact SUV competes with the likes of Ford Ecosport, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300.
