The Toyota Land Cruiser is famous as one of the most capable and powerful SUVs in the market and boasts impressive long-term reliability along with a great in-cabin experience. Having said this, with a waiting period of over 4 years in a few countries, the Toyota Cruiser enjoys strong demand in the market. The first batch of the 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser got sold out in the country and the new buyers will now need to wait before they can order one. Here are all the details that we know so far.

The bookings for the new Toyota Land Cruiser commenced in the country in early February 2022 for the V6 diesel variant. The Land Cruiser LC300, in the global markets, is offered with a 3.5-L V6 turbo-petrol engine and a 3.3-L V6 diesel motor that churns out 309 Ps and 700 Nm of maximum torque. The petrol engine on the other hand delivers 415 Ps and 650 Nm of peak torque. Both these engines are offered with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and offer impressive performance and efficiency.

On the design front, the Land Cruiser LC300 features a strong design with a prominent front grille, high mounted headlamps, chiselled bonnet, and functional roof rails. In addition to this, the rear section boasts a flat design with wraparound taillamps and chunky bumpers. The 2022 iteration is based on a new ladder-frame, GA-F chassis that is not only lighter but also offers higher rigidity when compared to the standard iterations. The car also scored a five-star rating in ANCAP crash tests. The car is offered with a comprehensive range of safety features such as adaptive cruise control, road sign assist, automatic high beam, lane departure alert, blind-spot monitor, reversing camera and sensors, multi-terrain monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert, and a pre-collision system with pedestrian and daytime cyclist detection.

The Land Cruiser also offers a long list of features and an extremely premium and comfortable cabin. For starters, in addition to a large moonroof, heated and ventilated seats, wireless charging, multiple USB charging ports, and 4-zone automatic climate control, the Land Cruiser is also offered with a number of other features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, heated steering wheel, 14-speaker JBL premium audio system, 7-inch MID, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
