Introduced in the Indian market in 2014 for the first time, the Harley-Davidson Street 750 is the most affordable bikes in the brand's line-up. However, with rivals such as the RE 650, the bike struggled to put up decent sales figures. Further, Harley is looking at closing its local Indian operations and will only sell CBU or completely built units imported into the country. Following the price cut, the Harley-Davidson Street 750 is now priced from Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is worth noting the fact that this is the second time that the price of this motorbike has been decreased as the brand, in a similar move, had reduced its price by Rs 1 lakh a couple of years ago. The buyers will have to shell out more money if they pick any out colour option except Vivid Black colour as the other colour options retail at Rs 4.81 lakh.
Powering this little Harley is a 749 cc, V-twin engine that delivers 60 bhp and 59 Nm of peak torque which comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the brand is now all set to shut down its manufacturing plant in Bawal, Haryana by next month. Harley-Davidson will now only sell imported models in the Indian market. The company may have announced the Harley-Davidson Street 750 price cut to clear out the inventory.
