Hero Electric Announced Free Battery Check Up And Service Camp

Hero Electric, one of India's leading electric two-wheeler makers has announced free battery check-ups and service camps across all its service centers in India. Hero has planned this to protect their scooters from damage caused by summer temperature changes.

The electric vehicle craze in India is at an all-time high, especially in the two-wheeler market. However, the country's electric vehicle development is still in its early stages. We've been seeing electric scooters catching fire in the past few days. Several photographs and videos have surfaced on the internet of electric scooters catching fire. Improper manufacturing, a defective battery management system, low-quality products being used, thermal runaway owing to battery overheating or battery damage, and so on could be the cause.

Customers will be able to get their EV's battery examined and interact with professionals through this free service channel. Hero Electric has over 500 service centers and will also offer some free services.

Hero Electric now has seven electric two-wheelers in its lineup. In the coming months, the company plans to introduce new models to its lineup, one of which is the forthcoming Hero Eddy scooter, which has an 85-kilometer range and a top speed of 25 kmph.

In other news, Hero Electric and Sun Mobility recently announced a partnership to deploy 10,000 electric two-wheelers with swappable batteries over the next few months. Hero Electric and SUN Mobility will begin deploying electric two-wheelers in the next three months as part of the deal, with an aim of deploying 10,000 by the end of the year. Hero Electric's customers will be able to buy electric two-wheelers without worrying about battery and charging infrastructure thanks to Sun Mobility's battery technology and the availability of battery swapping infrastructure.
