Honda Unveils 10 New Motorcycles & Scooters for India: ADV 160, CB 500, And More

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has revealed a fresh line-up of 10 motorcycles and scooters built for the Indian market. Seven of these are entirely new models, while three are updated versions with new colour schemes. The range covers cruisers, adventure tourers, roadsters and lifestyle-focused machines, alongside electric and flex-fuel options. HMSI says the launch reflects its multi-pathway approach to mobility and a stronger push towards local manufacturing. The company has not confirmed prices or launch dates yet. It plans to roll out the models in phases, with more details expected closer to each individual launch.

Starting with the scooters, the Honda ADV 160 is probably the headline act. It's got a 160cc water-cooled motor and leans into that "city adventure" look Honda has used elsewhere globally. What stands out on paper is the 8.1-litre tank and 27 litres of under-seat space, both claimed as best-in-class. It's also set to be India's first scooter that can run on E85 fuel, which is a notable first for the segment.

Then there's the CB 500, positioned as Honda's heritage roadster for India. A 501cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit with an oil cooler powers it, and it'll come in three trims: alloy wheels, spoke wheels with tubeless tyres, and a graphics-clad spoke variant.

The CB350 line doesn't get anything mechanical this time around. The CB350, CB350C and CB350RS simply pick up new colour options, so don't expect changes under the skin.

On the cruiser side, Honda's bringing in two Rebels. The Rebel 300 is the entry point, running a 286cc liquid-cooled engine with that low, bobber-style stance Honda's known for on this platform. The Rebel 500 sits a notch above, with a 471cc twin-cylinder engine for riders who want something a bit more substantial. Both come in standard and E-Clutch versions.

For off-road buyers, there's the XR 300L and XR 300 Rally, sharing a 293.5cc air-cooled engine with an oil cooler. The XR 300L is built to be usable day to day with some trail ability thrown in, while the Rally version is clearly aimed at people planning longer, harder rides across mixed terrain.

Rounding things out is the QC3, HMSI's new electric scooter. It runs a 3kWh battery good for a claimed 151km IDC range, with 0-80 percent charging in around two hours and forty minutes. It also gets 32 litres of storage, a smart key, and a 5-inch TFT screen with connected features.

Worth noting: several of these models will get Honda's E-Clutch tech, which handles clutch operation on its own, useful in stop-start traffic.

That's ten products unveiled in one go, but none of them have a confirmed launch date yet. HMSI says that detail will follow closer to each individual rollout.

End Note: Ten products in one announcement is a lot to take in, and Honda knows it. The real story starts later this year, when each of these gets its own price tag and launch date. Until then, treat today's numbers as a starting point, not a final word.
