In these unprecedented times brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd (PVPL) in their best interest have decided to introduce various initiatives as a part of its COVID-19 Support to benefit their employees.
The pandemic has affected the functioning of the automobile industries since everything has come to a complete standstill. It has reached a point where there is no turning back to the times when Auto Industries flourished. At this juncture, many automotive industries shifted their perspectives and began manufacturing COVID-19 kits to help support their employees.
The auto industries in India have also come to the realization that a product involves the hardships of many and that no industry is self-sufficient to function without manpower. No matter what, the pandemic has taught us all a valuable lesson regarding the welfare of the employees and most importantly the idea of humanity. It is with this interest, we decided to present news regarding how Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd is reaching out to help their employees.

Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd has already provided COVID-term life insurance to its permanent employees. The employees have been insured with a sum of Rs.20 lakh as a safety measure if at all a scenario wherein the employee dies due to COVID ever occurs. The fund will go directly to the immediate family member if such an unfortunate event occurs. In addition to the insurance, under the company's Education Assistance Program, up to two children of an employee will be provided with a fund of Rs.1 lakh each.
PVPL has also launched an app that provides all COVID-19 related health care facilities. Diego Graffi, MD & CEO of PVPL, said, During the pandemic, we want to give complete support to our employees and their families. Pooja Bansal, Head HR, PVPL, said, "Piaggio is committed to ensuring every member's emotional, physical, and financial safety as they face these difficult times.
