Being an auto enthusiast is not just a hobby for me; it's a way of life. It fuels my curiosity, sparks my creativity, and brings me immense joy. Whether I'm behind the wheel, discussing cars with fellow enthusiasts, or simply admiring a beautifully designed vehicle, the world of automobiles is where I truly feel at home.
Social Distancing and Quarantine - these two terms are ubiquitously used in today's modern world, thanks to the novel coronavirus. This deadly coronavirus that originally originated in Wuhan, China back in December 2019, has now engulfed the entire world in its grasp, including India. The Indian Government is trying their best to combat the virus but this outrageous disease is now spreading at a rapid rate in the country. The only method to defend ourselves is by practising social distancing and here comes a unique idea. A Tripura-based school drop-out has built a unique 'Social Distancing Electric Bike' that is winning the hearts of thousands of people on the internet.
We all know Necessity is the mother of Invention and in today's corona day and age social distancing is very important to keep ourselves as well as others safe. Our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi always says 'Do Gaz Doori' and a Tripura individual has implemented it very seriously in his life. Partha Saha, an Agartala native has built a unique motorbike which he calls as 'Social Distancing Electric Bike' and this E-bike has a one-metre gap between the rider and the passenger to drive home the importance of social distancing and fight against the COVID-19 disease.
The developer of this unique machine, Partha Saha, is a Mechanic cum YouTuber by profession and he even uploaded the full development process of this unique E-bike on his youtube channel. Firstly, he bought an old motorcycle from a scrap dealer, removed the engine of it, cut it into two halves and then affixed a one-metre rod in between to connect the wheels. The developer used a 750 watt brushless DC motor with a universal controller and a 48-volt 30Ah lithium-ion battery for his E-bike and he claims that it can hit a top speed of 50 kmph.

He further says that the bike delivers 80 kilometres of range on a single charge and once the battery is drained, it can be fully juiced up in 3-4 hours and then it is good to go another 80 kilometres. The one-time charging cost of this E-bike is just 10 rupees, thus it is very economical too. Saha says that he designed this unique bike as he doesn't want his daughter to go to school in the school bus post the upliftment of the lockdown as school buses are very crowded.
Saha's innovation didn't go unnoticed and everyone from netizens to politicians applauded him for his brilliant work. Chief Minister of Tripura, Shri Biplab Kumar Deb tweeted, "Necessity is the mother of invention! I congratulate Partha Saha of Tripura for making a unique motorcycle to create awareness during COVID-19 pandemic. The electric bike has a 1-metre distance between two seats. He has designed it to take his daughter to school post lockdown."
As the COVID-19 crisis continues to spread in India, several people from across the length and breadth of the country are coming up with unique concepts from the world of wheels. A few days back, a Hyderabad-based man also won the hearts of the people for making Corona Car. And now this individual from Tripura has stunned everyone with his unique concept and out on the streets, the electric bike grabs eyeballs and also people's attention.
