Top 5 Features Missing In the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N - Details

Mahindra launched the new 2022 Scorpio N at a staggering price of Rs 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Although, the prices of the automatic and 4x4 versions are not yet out, still, the Scorpio N is digging into its competition which is right from Hyundai Creta to Toyota Fortuner. The prices, powerful engine options and even the list of features the Scorpio N offers are just too much from the previous versions. However, there are a few features that are missing in the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio N and we will be sharing with you just that!

Panoramic Sunroof

Mahindra Scorpio N

Mahindra is providing an electric sunroof with the Scorpio N rather than a panoramic unit. This might be due to keeping the costs low or to keep the competition healthy as its elder sibling, XUV700 gets this feature in the higher trims.

Cooled Seats

The Indian carmaker is not providing this feature even on the top-spec variants. Its competition, Kia Seltos, Tata Safari and more cars provide this and it is quite a useful temperature, especially where the temperature reaches 50 degrees in summers.

3rd row AC vent

Forget a separate AC unit, there are no AC vents too in the 3rd row. For people looking to do long road trips in the Scorpio N, this can surely be a downside to owning this SUV.

Auto-dimming IRVM

The carmaker is not providing this feature even in the top-spec AX7L trim of the Mahindra XUV700. This is a necessary feature when you are driving at night as it reduces the glare of light coming from vehicles trailing you. Even cars with the Rs 10 lakh mark come with this feature.

No petrol 4WD

The homegrown carmaker is providing 4WD as an option with the 2.2L diesel engine only. Unlike Thar which also gets a 4WD mode with the petrol motor, Mahindra has skipped it for the Scorpio N Petrol.

Bonus Points

No 360-degree camera
No 5-seat option

Powering the new Scorpio N are two engine options - 2.0L Stallion petrol and a 2.2L diesel motor. The former generates a peak power and torque of 200 bhp and 370 Nm, respectively. The maximum torque for the petrol AT sticks to 380 Nm.

2022 Mahindra Scorpio N

The oil burner is available in two states of tune -
Lower trims make 128 bhp and 300 Nm of healthy torque
Higher trims make 173 bhp of power and a peak torque of 370 Nm for the manual and 400 Nm for the AT.
Both the petrol and diesel engines are mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard and also get a six-speed torque converter automatic as an option.
