In a recent sales report shared by Toyota Kirloskar Motor, they announced that they marked 707 sales for June 2021. Furthermore, they have 100% growth from Jan to May in 2021 when compared with the same months of the last year.

Mr. Naveen Soni, Sr. Vice President, TKM said, Last month witnessed no production at our plants in Bidadi as well as minimal sales owing to the much-needed restrictions & sporadic lockdowns in different parts of the country.

Hence comparing last months performance to that of May 2020 would be highly skewed, as May 2020 had witnessed a gradual restart of both operations and sales. More so for TKM, as even before the restrictions were announced in Karnataka, we were well within our planned annual maintenance shutdown, thereby adding to the number of non-production days.
As the country is struggling with the second wave of COVID, several parts of the nation are in lockdown. This is why the sales have been affected much. Toyota's highest sales generate from two mass-market products - Innova Crysta and Fortuner.

Toyota Innova Crysta is priced from Rs 16.73 lakh to Rs 24.60 lakh whereas the Fortuner is on the expensive side from Rs 30.36 lakh to Rs 38.32 lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi. Both the vehicles are offered with petrol and diesel engine options. As of now, the Fortuner delivers the highest torque in its segment.
