The Roadster series is Ola Electric’’s first motorcycle in production-guise, and it promises a lot of features at a very attractive price range. Its design will also stand out on Indian roads. However, while there have been question marks about Ola’s aftersales experience, the two-wheeler manufacturer says it is continuously working on improving that aspect.

Ola Electric Roadster X Detailed Review

The Roadster lineup gets a very futuristic design language, which will stand out on Indian roads. 4

• The Roadster features sharp, aggressively-designed body panels with a clean andminimalistic approach, giving it a very futuristic vibe.
• The headlight is a slim, projector unit with a blank panel above it, and it also gets sharp,edgy tank extensions.
• It also gets an 18-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear, withdiamond-cut alloy rims on both ends.
• The side panels are also smooth and sharpen all the way to the rear.

The lineup currently gets five battery pack options, and there will be more in the future. 4

• The Roadster X gets three battery pack options; a 2.5kWh unit, a 3.5kWh unit, and a4.5kWh unit. Meanwhile the Roadster X+ gets a 4.5kWh battery and a 9.1kWh unit.
• The 2.5kWh battery gets a claimed range of 140km on a single charge, while the 3.5kWh and the 4.5kWh battery can cover 196km and 252km respectively on a single charge.
• The 2.5kWh variant gets a 450W portable charger, and a 0-80% charge takes a claimed time of 6.2 hours. Meanwhile the 3.5kWh and 4.5kWh variants get a 750W portable charger. However, while the 3.5kWh battery variant can be charged in a claimed time of 4.6 hours, the 4.5kWh variant can be charged in a claimed time of 5.9 hours. 
• The 9.1kWh battery pack claims to cover 501km on a single charge and will be available
  from the second quarter of this year.

The Roadster X lineup offers on-par performance for its segment. 4

• All variants of the Roadster lineup are powered by a mid-mount electric motor, and all three battery variants of the Roadster X produce 9.3bhp of peak power.
• The 2.5kWh variant reaches a claimed top speed of 105kmph, with a 0-40kmph time of 3.4 seconds.
• The 3.5kWh variant and the 4.5kWh variant reach a claimed top speed of 118kmph, with a 0-40kmph time of 3.1 seconds.
• Both variants of the Roadster X+ are identical in terms of performance. The 4.5kWh and 9.1kWh variants produce 14.7bhp of peak power, with a claimed top speed of 125kmph and a 0-40kmph time of 2.7 seconds.

• Some of the features on offer include a 4.3-inch LCD screen setup, along with three riding modes, smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, brake-by-wire, cruise control, rider insights, and anti-theft among other things.
• The Roadster series, like most electric two-wheelers, comes with reverse mode.

  This is one of the best bikes in its segment. Overall performance is very good, and I am happy with my Ola Electric scooter. It offers a nice riding experience and stands out as a reliable and efficient option in its category.
