TVS Sport
The TVS Sport is one of the most affordable commuter motorcycles in the market, aimed squarely at mileage-focused buyers. It stands out for its exceptional fuel efficiency, while also offering light controls and low maintenance costs that make ownership stress-free. The overall package feels basic but honest. That said, design and features are minimal. Overall, the TVS Sport is ideal for buyers prioritising low running costs above everything else.
TVS Sport Latest Update
Last Updated On 10th July'25: The TVS Sport has been through a minor re-jig, with prices now beginning from Rs 60,281 (ex-showroom). The bike does not get many changes, staying exactly the same in terms of looks, performance, and hardware. However, the paint schemes on the ES+ variant now get new decals.
TVS Sport remains one of the most affordable commuters in India. The brand has not made any changes to the motorcycle; it continues to come with the same 109cc engine as the Radeon. This engine comes with Ecothrust Fuel Injection technology, which helps improve fuel efficiency. Moreover, this remains unchanged for a long time, and we don’t anticipate that TVS is planning to bring an update any time soon.

TVS Sport Detailed Review
A solidly constructed motorcycle with a commanding presence on the road, the TVS Sport BS6. It has a chic, minimalistic design that is by no means over the top. Although the design is straightforward, it is still quite modern and meets all the criteria for being a typical motorbike. The bike appears chiseled thanks to the curved contour line of the fuel tank and the chic 3D graphics, and the car looks upscale thanks to the black tinted visor surrounding the headlight. The Star City Plus matches the various color schemes of the motorcycle along with dual-tone long seats and five-spoke blacked-out alloy wheels. This motorcycle also has numerous high-end inlays that were installed by the company.

Summary
The new TVS Sport is a good looking commuter motorcycle that has a retro appeal. The motorcycle feels up-market and has few features in addition to some premium goodies that give it a good road presence.
Sport body specifications:
| Ground Clearance | 175 mm |

The TVS Star Sports is 1,950 mm long and 1,080 mm tall in terms of dimensions. The motorcycle's width is 705 mm. The motorcycle's 1,236 mm wheelbase and 790 mm seat height make it suitable for tall and small riders alike. The TVS Sport offers a reasonable 175 mm of ground clearance. This makes it a motorcycle that can travel almost any type of speed hump or uneven road seen in rural areas. Additionally, the motorcycle's petrol tank has a 10-liter capacity. About 110kg is the weight of the bike alone. Because of this, riding in traffic is really easy to do. Customers can select the TVS Sport if they want a lightweight motorcycle.
Summary
The TVS Sport is a well-balanced motorbike with respectable ground clearance. The key selling point of this motorbike is its petrol tank capacity.
Sport body specifications:
| Ground Clearance | 175 mm |

The TVS Sport's BS6-compliant, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine has a displacement of 109.7cc. This BS6 motor can generate a maximum of 8.17 bhp and 8.7 Nm of torque at 7350 RPM and 4500 RPM, respectively. The motorcycle's engine incorporates TVS' Ecothrust Fuel Injection (ET-Fi) Technology, which increases the motorcycle's fuel efficiency, and is mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The addition of fuel injection has unquestionably improved the throttle responsiveness and fuel economy when compared to its previous model, which was equipped with a carburettor.
The performance of the BS6 TVS Sport is strong in the low and mid ranges. The engine responds well and produces a respectable amount of power. It provides enough performance for city commuting as well. The average entry-level commuter's top speed is between 80 and 85 kmph, although the TVS sport can easily reach 85 kmph. However, at speeds between 40 and 60 kmph, the bike feels smooth and easy to ride without a lot of vibrations entering via the footpegs and handlebar. In terms of fuel efficiency, the motorbike offers a respectable range of 60 to 73 kmpl under typical riding circumstances.
The motorcycle also performs well on rough patches thanks to its robust suspension setup. There is minimal vibration on the footpeg, fuel tank and the handle. Overall, the BS6-compliant TVS Sport provides superior comfort and ride quality.

Summary
The new TVS Sport offers good performance. This commuter motorcycle packs in great low-end and mid-range punch. The BS6 version of the Sport also offers good fuel economy too.
Sport engine specifications:
| Transmission | Manual |
| Mileage | 80 |
| Engine | 109.7 cc |

The BS6 TVS Sport also gets tube fitted tyres in the front and rear. The front tyre is sized 2.75 X 17, whereas, the rear tyre is of the size 3.0 X 17. These tyres provide good resistance against aquaplaning and should ensure a good amount of grip on bad sections of the road. However, TVS could have done a good job by providing tubeless fitments.

Summary
The TVS Sport offers a good ride quality and strong brakes, thereby making it among the stronger performers of the segment. This motorcycle is largely preferred by rural customers due to its sheer performance in tough conditions. However, TVS could have offered tubeless tyres as standard.
