Design: In terms of design, the Viper takes on a sharp and contemporary approach with a sporty stance. It features clean body lines, full-LED lighting, and a modern silhouette that feels more premium than utilitarian. The 14-inch wheels and well-proportioned body give it a planted look, while the colour options like Red Black, Sand Gold, and Cement Grey add to its youthful appeal. While it doesn’t go overboard with aggressive styling, it strikes a good balance between sportiness and everyday practicality.

Battery Specs: The VinFast Viper comes equipped with dual removable LFP battery packs, each rated at 1.5 kWh. Buyers can opt for a single battery setup offering a claimed range of around 82 km, or go for the dual-battery configuration that extends the range up to 156 km. These IP67-rated batteries are designed for durability and heat resistance, making them suitable for Indian conditions. Each battery weighs approximately 12.5 kg, and charging from 0 to 100 percent takes about 4.5 hours. The removable nature adds convenience for home or office charging. Powering the Viper is an in-hub motor that delivers 1800 W of standard output, with a peak output of 3000 W. This setup enables a top speed of around 70 kmph, which is adequate for daily city commutes. 

Features: On the features front, the Viper comes with a well-rounded package that includes a TFT display, smart key functionality, and full-LED lighting. It also gets telescopic front suspension and dual hydraulic rear shocks, helping improve ride comfort over uneven roads. Braking duties are handled by a front disc and rear drum setup. Additional highlights include a 780 mm seat height for easy accessibility and 138 mm ground clearance for tackling typical city obstacles. The 10-litre underseat storage is usable, although space gets limited with dual batteries installed.

Expected Price & Rivals: The VinFast Viper is expected to be priced between Rs 1.55 lakh to Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom) with battery, while a battery subscription model could bring the upfront cost down to around Rs 1.35 lakh and Rs 1.45 lakh. It will compete with models like Hero Vida V2, Bajaj Chetak, Ampere Nexus, and others.
