Ather Rizta

Ather’s family-focused scooter, the Rizta, has crossed the 2 lakh sales milestone since its launch in April 2024, highlighting its strong demand in the Indian market. The model now contributes over 70% of Ather’s total sales, playing a key role in expanding the brand beyond southern markets into North and Middle India.

Ather has introduced new software-led features for the Rizta and 450 series, including voice alerts, enhanced safety systems and smarter riding aids to improve everyday usability. A key highlight is the addition of advanced cruise control and rider assistance features, making city riding smoother and more intuitive.

Ather has expanded the Rizta lineup with a new Rizta S variant featuring a larger 3.7 kWh battery, aimed at offering higher range and practicality. The new variant delivers a claimed range of up to 159 km, while retaining the scooter’s family-focused design, storage and features.

Ather announced that the Rizta (along with the 450 series) will become more expensive from January 1, with a price hike of up to Rs 3,000 depending on the variant. The increase has been attributed to rising input costs, forex fluctuations and higher prices of electronic components.
