Ather Energy has announced that its family scooter, the Rizta, has crossed the 2 lakh sales mark, just six months after hitting its first 1 lakh units in May 2025-reflecting surging demand across India. Since its launch in April 2024, the Rizta has expanded Ather's reach beyond southern markets, supported by additions like the Terracotta Red colour and the 3.7 kWh S variant. The model now contributes over 70 percent of Ather's total sales.

Rizta's strong traction has helped this brand nearly double its market share in key Middle India states, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh. The scooter has also fueled broader retail momentum, with the company surpassing 5 lakh EV sales nationally and growing its network to 524 Experience Centres as of September 30, 2025.
Speaking on the milestone, Ravneet Singh Phokela, CBO, Ather Energy, said "Rizta has been on a roll from the very beginning, expanding our addressable market and enabling us to expand distribution aggressively, especially in Middle and North India. Going forward, our focus remains on strengthening product accessibility through deeper distribution, and building on this strong base."

Rapid rise to 2 lakh sales clearly positions it as the brand's breakthrough product, one that has unlocked mass-market acceptance and accelerated Ather's expansion across India. Its strong demand, wider variant mix, and impact on market share growth indicate that Rizta is not just a successful scooter, but a strategic turning point that has reshaped the company's trajectory in the EV two-wheeler segment.
