The Ola S1 X, third generation, is an electric scooter available with three battery pack options. A special variant, called the X+, has also been launched, offering more power, better performance, and a premium design. Compared to the previous generation, several aspects have been improved, including the mechanism, technology, design, and range.

Latest Update on 4th Apr'25 : Ola S1 X entered its 3rd generation in February, 2025, where its range and power went up. After that, Ola hasn’t given it any further update, however, as per a latest news piece; Ola is planning to add more scooters and bikes in their lineup with even more range and power and for everyone surprise, the automaker is planning to add an electric tourer in their varied range of portfolio, and their launch is expected to happen in Q2 of FY2026.
Ola Electric has launched the third generation of its S1 Series, with the S1 X lineup receiving updates in technology and features. Additionally, for customers who prefer the affordability of the S1 X but desire the performance of the S1 Pro, Ola has introduced the new S1 X+. A key highlight of this scooter is its impressive 242 km IDC range and a new 4.3-inch LCD display powered by MoveOS 5.

- From a design perspective, nothing has changed from generation 2 to generation 3 of Ola S1 X. It still appears like a lightweight scooter, with minimalistic design approach and comes in a half paint and half black body panels.
- There are several new features in this third generation, including a sporty new grab handle for rear passengers. Ola also mentions that they have enhanced the seat ergonomics.
- There are no disc brakes on offer; the only option for braking is the combi-brake system.

- The current generation of S1 X has become drastically different from the 2nd generation in terms of engineering, as now the S1 X 4 KW pack offers an IDC range of 242 km, and peak power of 9.5 ps.
- For those who want even more power, there’s the Ola S1 X+, which offers a peak power of 14.95 PS and accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.
- This new generation replaces the hub motor with a mid-drive motor featuring an integrated MCU, which Ola Electric claims is more reliable and efficient than before.
- Also, the fast acceleration is a result of chain drives that have replaced the belt drives.
- Considering its starting price, Ola still offers single channel ABS in all S1 X variants.
- A new 4.3 Inch LCD display is there, which is operated via a new MoveOS 5 system.
- The features that MoveOS 5 brings include Smart Park, Road Trip Mode, SOS Alert, Bharat Mood, a smartwatch app, and DIY Mode.
- Headlight and tail-light are all LED.
- Ola has switched to a physical key with the third generation.
- Brake-by-wire technology electronically applies the brakes, resulting in longer brake pad life and a 15% improvement in range.
